Every day in the afternoons, we break up into different elective classes: Ukulele, Improvisation, Music Technology, Chinese Music, Musical Theater, and Mariachi Music. Our students have the opportunity to choose what class they are most interested in and learn from experts in these fields. We love seeing how these students bond, learn, and grow as a class! What class sounds most interesting to you? Practicing our Chinese instruments: the hulusi (gourd instrument), the dizi (flute), and the erhu (stringed instrument). Our musicians are picking up the basics of these instruments very quickly. Some already know how to play a couple of songs! OPUS 5 has officially begun! This year we are excited to offer musical enrichment focused on traditional Chinese music and Mariachi music. Today, our students had the opportunity to listen to a performance put on by our faculty on various Chinese and western instruments. We also picked our music elective classes which include Music Technology, Musical Theater, Ukulele, Chinese Music, Mariachi Music, and Improvisation. We are looking forward to an amazing camp! Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weeks. |
